Dear members and friends of PAMA,
PAMA has been proactive in providing different scientific webinars on last Sunday of each month in the past 12
months (except for 2 months in summer). Furthermore, Dr. Saidi also arranged 9 webinars every Saturday since
August to help residency applicants better prepare themselves for finding a position in US residency programs. For
those who have not been able to participate, they can find these webinars on PAMA’s YouTube Channel and website.
In September 2025, PAMA held its first annual virtual scientific meeting on 13 and 14th of September, where we
had 2 distinguished world-renowned keynote speakers, namely, Dr. Fereydoun Ala and Dr. Asghar Rastegar. Total of
7 hours of CME credit were given to members who participated in the meeting, and 4 young investigators won a
certificate and $500.00 each for their excellent scientific work.
We are going to resume our monthly webinars in November again, and the next one will be on November 2nd by Dr.
Saidi on the role of AI in future medicine. I encourage everyone to attend this important webinar, because AI is
going to play a major role in medicine in the future.
The annual meeting finished with general assembly, where membership and financial status of PAMA were reported
by Dr. Mohammad Shokouh-Amiri. As the interim president of PAMA, I would like to ask for your active
participation of affairs of your organization. I also ask for nomination for the BoD of PAMA. As I Have mentioned
before, I will step down as the president (but remain as advisor), and Dr. Saidi will, according to Bylaw, be the next
president, and the following remaining positions are available for election.
1) Vice President
2) Secretary
3) Membership committee chair
4) Fundraising committee chair
5) Treasurer committee chair
6) Scientific committee chair
7) Website and social media committee chair
8) Two Members-at-large
If you are interested in any of the above positions, please send me a brief CV of yourself. The BoD meets once a
month and the new volunteers/board members with dedication and commitments will be invited to the group for
carry on the missions and visions of this new and dynamic association.
The deadline to nominate yourself or anybody else you think qualifies for these positions (with their permission) is
November 20 th and the results will be announced by end of November 2025.
As part of PAMA’s humanitarian work we recently did an outreach activity in Honduras, and in December 8th to 12
th, I will be going to Zambia for doing kidney transplants for a newly started Transplant program there.
